News Letter - Football Gala September 2007
NEWSLETTER – OPENING GALA DAY Sunday 9/9/07
Hello good morning and welcome to the Opening Day of the new season 2007/8. To celebrate this, we kick off with the “Opening Gala” Competition, comprising Round Robin matches (league tables will be continually updated throughout the day and displayed in the clubhouse) In the U8s, the top 4 teams will then qualify for the Cup Semi Finals, whilst the next 4 qualify for the Plate Semi Finals. In the U 10s, the top 2 in the A section and the top 2 in the B section qualify for the Cup semis and the 3rd and 4th in each group qualify for the Plate.
Good luck to all the teams, and most importantly, let’s all enjoy a cracking day!
BOLTON WANDERERS COACH EDUCATION
The Bolton Coaches will be here again on Monday 24th to give a practical seminar on “Player Centred Coaching”. It will start at 6pm with the coaches working with players from our club and then move inside for a Q & A session for another half hour or so.
PLEASE NOTE EVERYBODY IS WELCOME!
You do not have to be a coach to benefit from this – mums and dads can learn a lot too!
IN THE JIM KENYON CLUB
LIVE BAND “Hard to Handle” NEXT FRIDAY in the Jim Kenyon Club
Come and join us in the Clubhouse next Friday (7 til late) and enjoy the hugely popular band and disco that we’ve got booked. Tickets are on sale at just £5 each.
JAMIE SUTHERLAND’s “GLOBE COMEDY NIGHT” is coming to the Jim Kenyon Club on Saturday 13th October, and this one is sure to be a sell out at £7 per ticket
Why not come along, have a great night out and help raise a much needed few bob towards the costs of running the club! (Because it does take money to provide the top facilities we have here at Hindley Juniors – for example, I think you’ll agree the pitches are in top shape, and to keep them at their best through the winter, we need to find around £3000 to vertidrain and sand them in October. If we cant find the money for this then the pitches will not be as good through the winter. Every little helps towards it – and having a great night out is surely a painless way of contributing your bit?)
……………………………………………………………………
And finally, Managers please don’t forget it’s the AGM next Sunday (7pm start) There are proposed rule changes, so be there to vote on them!
And really finally…………
LITTER…….. We have got off to a real bad start with litter being strewn all over the field. For today, each manager has been given a bin liner – please pick up any litter you see and drop it in there
