Hello, good morning and welcome to another Super Sunday at the Hindley Juniors Mini League.
The first item in this Newsletter is to proudly inform all our members that LFA and Football Foundation have once again accredited HJFC on achieving a score of “exceeding expectations” on the Return on Investment of the £500,000 they have ploughed into our facilities to date. This ranking is far in excess of any other scheme invested in and places us in a great position to continue developments to take this club to still higher levels.
The evaluation itself is based on a thorough review of all aspects of our Development Plan (Child Protection, Coach Development, Participation, Elites, Codes etc etc) so the award is not made lightly.
A copy of our documentation is on display on the notice boards for those interested in having a read………….

IMPORTANT SAFETY ISSUE – Hooded Tops…..We were advised last year by one of the local leagues of an incident involving a young player playing with a hooded top under his football Shirt (with the hood sticking out of the neck of the shirt).
The player suffered serious neck injuries as a result of the hood being grabbed as he ran past his opponent.
We placed an immediate ban on the wearing of hooded tops on the football
pitch, and we are now minded to remind all coaches, parents and guardians of this rule.We are sure you will fully support this safety measure………….

XMAS PARTY DATES…..

U11s – Friday 7th December

U8s and Reception – Saturday 8th December

U10s – Friday 14th December

Girls - Saturday 15th December

NB>>> Can Managers please advise numbers ASAP to Kath Pearson / A Brady
XMAS Raffle Tickets will be issued next week. Every parent commits to sell £10 worth when you sign the Registration Form. We do need you to do this, as it is part of how we budget the income for the year; and without the income we can’t pay the bills! So, please do your part.

Coach Education……….Top Skills Coaches from the FA will be running the first of a series of sessions on developing individual skills on Saturday 3rd November at 12 O’clock. It is hoped that every coach will attend and that many of you parents show up too.

The next BWFC session “4 corners of player development” will be during the last week of November (final date to be confirmed). Please keep an eye out for the actual day / date which we will publish shortly.

Parents Education….. At the recent New Managers Induction Course it was suggested all parents would benefit from learning more about the club, the values of the mini league, child protection etc by attending the “Induction” evening. A couple of hours of your time would be valuably spent as your children would get all the benefits of having informed parents supporting them in a “non- pressurising” way.

We will be coming round asking which parents would be prepared to do this, and we will set something up for mid to late November.

In the meantime, we are asking EVERY parent in the mini league to complete the FA’s “Soccer Parent” (it takes about 20 minutes on the internet) and print off a certificate and bring it to the club. Go to www.hindleyjuniors.com and follow the links.

Pitches…….. In the next couple of weeks we will be having the pitches “verti drained” (this involves vertically spiking to depths of around 10 inches and distances of 3 inches) to relieve compaction, aerate and open up the top surface to the drainage system
In the meantime, can we remind all teams NOT TO “KICK IN” IN THE GOALMOUTHS…. Simply move the goals 5 yards to either side whilst your players “kick in” / warm up / practice shooting before (or after) the games. This simple action will go a long way to protecting the goalmouths.

Team Photos………. Are now on display in the Clubhouse and framed copies can now be purchased. Just ask for an order form!

AND FINALLY…….. IN THE JIM KENYON CLUB……….

We will be celebrating HALLOWEEN with a scary party on Saturday 27th October, so get the kids done up in their scary gear, get your own fancy dress on too and come on down!
We will also be holding a FIREWORKS DISPLAY on either Sunday 4th or Monday 5th November (there is a “poll” running on the website to decide which day, so I’ll let you know as soon as I’m told!).
By the way, if anyone is interested in voting on this, go to our website at www.hindleyjuniors.com and get yourself registered as a member!
